Barbara McClatchie Andrews

Barbara McClatchie Andrews is a Canadian photojournalist whose images and writing have concerned culture in the developing world, most of which she either knows intimately or has visited, travelling, for the most part as a backpacker.

Her work has been published in Archaeology Magazine, in National Geographic and in The World & I, a Washington Times Corporation publication to which she is a frequent contributor.

In 2005 she gave up writing in order to concentrate on her photography. That year she abandoned analog for digital photography. The work that emerged is abstract in nature and has been widely exhibited in Yucatán, where she is currently working (see Abstract Work).
